Prologue:
He walked quietly behind his mother, unsure where they were going. All he knew was that he had to trust the only person who knew he existed. “Mommy?....Where are we?” He asked after a long time of walking. He was much shorter than the woman he was traveling with, maybe up to just above her knee. The woman looked like an older version of the boy, except for her long lashes and full lips. “…Haru…Please remember that mommy loves you…but I can’t take care of you anymore…I promise that I’ll find you when I get more money. But for now you must trust that I’m looking out for you. You’re going to be staying with a good friend of mine, and her family.” The woman said picking up the Green haired boy. His Purple eyes filled up with tears. “B-But mommy?....Why? I don’t want you to leave me…” He said hugging her around her neck. The woman sighed, their long green hair proof of what they were, Aurions, instead of being Human, Vampire, or Werewolf, the three main species of intelligent life on the planet. “I don’t want to leave you either…but I have to take this job….As soon as I make enough money to get an apartment, I’m going to come and get you! I promise!” His mother said crying softly. They walked towards a large house, the little boy in his mother’s arms. “Haru, be good, don’t worry about me…and don’t let anyone tell you that you are a stupid animal….”She said kissing him on the forehead, and setting him down on the doorstep. She knocked on the door, when a young girl appeared. She was about up to the woman’s waist.
“Huh?” The girl looked at them confused. “Are you here to….?”She didn’t finish her question. She didn’t have to.
Haru’s mother nodded, and stepped inside, Haru followed sobbing gently.
The girl sighed. “Just a moment, I’ll get Ms. Domovio.” She said leaving the room. She came back a moment later, followed by a tall woman with long black hair. It was tied back, and her piercing red eyes looked at the woman and her son.
“Naru….Why?....You have such a beautiful son, why are you putting him in our care?....”The tall woman asked hugging her old friend.
Naru sighed. “I need him to be safe….Just do that for me, okay?” She asked choking up already.
Haru looked at the girl, and the woman scared.
The girl smiled, and bent down to Haru’s height. “It’s alright….You’re safest here anyway.” She said with a small chuckle.
Naru picked Haru up, and kissed his cheeks, and his forehead. “…You be good, okay?...If you feel you need me…Just hold this tight and believe….” She said pulling out a small locket and closed it in Haru’s hand. She handed the small boy over to the woman, and his bag, to the girl.
“Good bye Naru…be Safe.” Ms. Domovio said as her friend left.
Haru was crying, sobbing, unsure what he could do now without his mother. He finally cried himself to sleep on Ms. Domovio’s shoulder.
“Hn?....Well Time to put him to bed then…”The woman said carrying him up to one of the rooms on the second floor. She set him down on a small bed.
The girl set Haru’s bag on the floor next to it. “Kana…I have a feeling he’s going to need us sometime in the future.”
“Yup…Ain’t that feeling exciting?” Kana asked with a smirk, showing her fangs.
